David M. Kroenke

In over 40 years as a computer professional, David Kroenke has held almost every job in technology. He has been a computer programmer, systems analyst, consultant, database designer, database administrator, project manager, chief technology officer, and vice-president of product marketing and development.

As an educator, Dr. Kroenke taught hundreds of students at Colorado State University, Seattle University, and the University of Washington, where he was the Hanson Professor of Management Science.

His first textbook, Database Processing, was published in 1977 and is now in its 11th edition. He authored or co-authored twelve different book titles and produced 33 editions of those titles. His textbooks have been translated into more than a dozen languages, and his MIS textbooks are currently the world-wide leader in sales. Recently he has developed innovative educational puzzles, games, and other materials at his site LearningMIS.com. These materials are available free to students.

Dr. Kroenke lives with his wife in Seattle Washington. He has two children and three grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking, sailing, and hiking. His wife tells him he enjoys gardening as well.
